La mia esperienza a VERG è finita da poco più di una settimana... e mi ha lasciato una grande voglia di ripartire!!!
Tutto è cominciato poco dopo la laurea quando, in cerca su internet di tirocini, ho trovato l'annuncio di VERG... ho inviato una e-mail e curriculum al Dott. Miele che in poco tempo mi ha organizzato un colloquio telefonico con il Dott. Levitzke ed è così che dopo qualche mese sono partita... non avevo idea di cosa mi aspettasse ma avevo troppa voglia di partire e di confrontarmi con persone che svolgono li mio stesso lavoro in una città così diversa e lontana dalla mia.
Superate le difficoltà iniziali ad ambientarsi in un posto nuovo e soprattutto quelle dovute alla lingua è andata sempre meglio; è stata una grande opportunità per osservare un ambiente di lavoro molto diverso da quello italiano soprattutto per la presenza dei Technicians che rendono il lavoro del veterinario più semplice e veloce. Sono stata colpita soprattutto dalla grande organizzazione e dalla capacità di collaborazione dei vari dipartimenti... VERG è una clinica in cui coesistono molti specialisti ed il segreto perchÉ tutto funzioni è il lavoro di squadra!!!
Un GRAZIE in particolare va al Dott. Miele, Dott. Palone e al Dott. Levitzke per avermi dato la possibilità di fare questa fantastica esperienza e che con la loro simpatia ed allegria mi hanno fatto sentire ogni giorno a casa.

Dr. Elisa Moramarco
Dr. Moramarco completed her scientific studies in July 1999 at liceo A. Avogadro in Vercelli. She continued her education at the University of Milan, where she obtained her Veterinary Medical Degree in October 2005. She continued her education at the University of Milan as "laureata frequentatrice" of Surgery Clinic, the place where she completed her thesis, under the supervision of the Professor Massimo Gualtieri. She has special interests in gastroenterology, and focused her attention in particular on digestive flexible endoscopies and laparoscopies. Under the suggestion of Professor Mortellaro, Surgery Dept. University of Milano, on March 2006 she started an internship for three months in the U.S.A. in New York State at the Brooklyn Veterinary Group and Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group.

My name is Katja Frizzera and I am a last year vet student from Austria currently starting my clinical rotations. I decided to spend part of my practicals abroad, as I am interested in emergency medicine. I was therefore very pleased to have been accepted at Verg, one of the best running emergency clinics of New York City.
Straight from the first day I have been included in the daily routine and placed through the different divisions: emergency, internal medicine, ophthalmology, surgery, oncology and dermatology. I have had the pleasure to work with the best and most accurate physicians, who gave every detail the right importance, where hours turned into caring dedication. I was involved in every step of the day: rounds, patient discussions and therapy, client information and patient release. I have had the chance to strengthen my practical skills and to sharpen my theory. Verg has helped me to develop skills I never thought to possess.
I would be very happy to have the chance and fortune to spend more valuable time at Verg, as I miss the vibrant and familiar atmosphere, the joyful but yet professional attitude of the team.
Till then thank you very much for the incredible and unforgettable experience.
